East Coast Repair & Fabrication, LLC (ECR) is a full-service business in the ship repair industry that employs hundreds of skilled workers across the country. Since 1999 ECR has been trusted by the marine, heavy industry and government sectors to build and repair their most important assets. They are known as an environmental steward and sustainability advocate that values quality, customer service and reliability. ECR works with the United States government, commercial ship owners and some of the most respected marine and industrial companies across the nation. In 2019, S23 Holdings, LLC purchased an 84-acre waterfront facility in Newport News, VA to develop into a full-service shipyard. Two, 1,100-foot piers will help ECR expand their services to a more diverse group of vessel owners and operators such as Military Sealift Command, MARAD, Crowley, Maersk and other maritime vessel operators.
